What happens to formulas? When you convert XLSX to CSV, formulas are replaced by their calculated values. A cell containing =SUM(A1:A10) becomes the number it produced — for example, 450. The CSV captures the data your formulas produced, not the formula logic itself. What Is an XLSX File?
